The electromechanical disk brake (10) has a floating brake saddle (12). Displacement guides (22) are fitted inside the brake disk (16), transverse to the displaceable guide of the brake saddle. This enables the brake disk to be made of greater diameter, so that less force needs to be applied when braking, and reduces the forces acting on the displacement guide and its holder.
