<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the nitrogen in an org. waste water contg. sewage and SS of night soil, etc. CONSTITUTION:An org. waste water contg. SS is conditioned with an inorg. flocculant, then introduced into a flocculation tank 5 and flocculated with an amphoteric org. high molecular flocculant, the supernatant water is introduced into a nitration tank 7 and nitrated, and a part of the nitrated water is returned to the tank 5 and denitrified. Since the amphoteric org. high molecular flocculant is used, the water leaving the flocculation tank is low in BOD and efficiently nitrated in the nitration tank. The flocculated sludge of the org. waste water contg. SS is rich in denitrifying bacteria and concentrated, and hence an extremely high denitrifying rate is attained. Further, the easily decomposable org. matter in the waste water contained in the sludge acts as an org. matter source for denitrification. Since a part of the nitrated water is returned to the flocculation tank, denitrification is efficiently performed in the flocculation tank.</p> |
