FIELD: metallurgy; production of molybdenum and its alloys. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preliminarily mixing sulfide-molybdenum-containing material with silicon or ferro-silicon for forming volatile gaseous compounds with sulfur in the amount sufficient for obtaining ratio of silicon mass to molybdenum mass in sulfide-molybdenum-containing material of 0.4-1.0. Heat treatment in vacuum is performed at temperature of 900-1300°C and rarefaction of 665.0-13.3 Pa in presence of powder-like iron for absorption of sulfur dioxides in the amount sufficient for obtaining ratio of iron mass to molybdenum mass in sulfide-molybdenum-containing material of 4-8. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of utilization of active gaseous sulfur; enhanced ecological safety; increased service life of equipment. ^ 2 cl, 1 tbl, 15 ex |
