FIELD: equipment adapted to perform underground oil and gas well repair, particularly to seal well head in the case of emergency conditions and in the case of long stoppage of well operation. ^ SUBSTANCE: preventer has body with axial channel, pipe rams to seal pipes to be lowered in well through axial channel formed in the body and blind rams used to seal axial channel in the absence of pipes in the well. Preventer also has combined, hydraulic and manual ram drive formed as hydraulic cylinder with piston arranged inside it. Piston is provided with screw rod having support collar and shank, which may be replaced with handwheel having hub. When hydraulic drive is used screw rod with shank may be rotated and translated to secure the rams. When manual drive is used screw rod with handwheel may be rotated without translation due to fixing thereof by end surface of handwheel hub. ^ EFFECT: possibility of easy and quick preventer shifting from mode of operation, in which hydraulic drive is used into mode of operation, in which manual drive is used. ^ 9 dwg
