The cutter consists of a module (100) with a circular saw blade (204) lying in a plane (P), a mobile thrust member and a force generator (112) that applies a force in a direction parallel to plane (P). The generator delivers a force of at least 20N through the median plane of the thrust member, which also contains a saw blade protector and lubricator (220). The blade protector comprises two covers (116, 118) of aluminium alloy or other suitable material held together by a clamp (120) with a slit for the blade to pass through.
