The seat has a pushbutton (51) to adjust the inclination of a backrest. An adjusting mechanism has an articulation mechanism (34) permitting relative rotation of flanges upon activation of the push button. The flange (36) is connected to a locking part (53) by a mechanical connection (58) so that movement of the part (53) in a longitudinal direction corresponds to the flange (36) rotation with respect to another flange. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle including a vehicle seat.
