PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording element array in which a plurality of magnetic recording elements are arranged, by which the magnetization of each magnetic recording element is simply and securely reversed, and a recording operation for the magnetic recording element array is stably performed. SOLUTION: Wiring 20 is formed so that it may become close to the magnetic recording element 10 at least either of an upper part and a lower part of the magnetic recording element 10, then a current magnetic field is generated by causing a current to flow through the wiring 20, spin torque T is generated by causing a current to flow through the magnetic recording element 10, and the magnetization of the magnetic recording element 10 is reversed by making use of the current magnetic field and the spin torque to perform the recording operation.
