PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relative motion detector with high detection accuracy and high reliability. SOLUTION: This relative motion detector is equipped with annular pulsers 9A and 9B fixed to an inner ring. The pulsers 9A and 9B comprise pulse generation parts 12A and 12B, respectively, as tracks. The generation parts 12A and 12B each comprise projecting parts 121 and recessed parts 122 alternately arranged as periodically repetitive means under detection. The arrangement intervals P1 and P2 of the projecting parts 121 are different from each other between the generation parts 12A and 12B. The arrangement interval P1 is constant while the arrangement interval P2 gradually increases with respect to a first direction C1. The generation parts 12A and 12B, at lest, of the pulsers 9A and 9B are formed out of rubber or resin including conductive material. Pulse outputs different from each other in phase are obtained when detection parts corresponding to the pulsers 9A and 9B make relative motion.
