PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a satellite droplet from accidentally impacting a position deviated from a target position. SOLUTION: This liquid jet apparatus is equipped with a head 41 wherein a nozzle array 42 composed of a plurality of nozzles #i arranged in a line is provided on a surface facing the medium, a head moving part for moving the head 41 in a prescribed direction along the surface of the medium, an interval adjusting part for adjusting an interval between the head 41 and the medium, and a jet control part for controlling a jet of liquid. The number of the continuous nozzles capable of simultaneously jetting the liquid is determined according to the interval between the surface opposite to the medium and the surface of the medium.
