The motor vehicle roof has a panel-form roof section (4) for at least partial closing off of a roof aperture. The aforesaid roof section is attached means of an adhesive bead (9) to a reinforcing frame (8) which is fastened to the fixed roof (1). The gap (17) between the roof section and the fixed roof is sealed off by a seal (10). At least one additional element (25) is installed between the adhesive bead and seal to seal off the gap. The additional element lies against the roof section from underneath and/or on the adhesive bead from the outside.
