STAGING ELEMENT AND AN ASSEMBLY THEREOF

A staging unit comprising a single working element having a longitudinal axis wherein the element defines along its length a first series of bores lying in a first longitudinal plane co-extensive with the axis and a second series of bores lying in a second longitudinal plane co-extensive with the axis; the second longitudinal plane lying at an angle, typically a right angle, relative to the first longitudinal plane; the bores in at least the first series of holes being spaced longitudinally from one another by a given pitch distance or an integral multiple of the pitch distance. According to a second aspect there is provided a staging assembly made up of a plurality of a staging element as aforesaid wherein a first such element is linked to a second such unit by a fastening element extending through a bore in the first series or the second series of the first element and a bore in the first or second series of the second element. Typically such an assembly is provided with a working platform located by, and mounted on, the assembly.
