<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor which can store comments of individual users therein as part of remote maintenance information, and can transmit the information to a host device as needed. <P>SOLUTION: When the host device 2 such as personal computer transmits print data together with user commend information to a printing device 1, the printing device 1 carries out predetermined printing from the print data, and separately extracts the user commend information from the print data to be stored in a storage section. The user comment information includes not general maintenance information but demands and comments of the user. When the printing device 1 receives a transmission request of the maintenance information from a maintenance server 5, the printing device extracts the user comment information corresponding to the transmission request, and transmits the user comment information as maintenance information via a LAN 3 and a network 4 to the maintenance server 5. In this manner the maintenance server 5 can carry out remote maintenance of the printing device 1.
