<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a fuel cell stack through a structure in which at least a set of unit cell components are clipped without using an adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell stack structure 20 comprises at least one set of unit cell components 30 that include: a membrane electrode assembly 40 in which a pair of electrodes 42, 43 are jointed to a solid polyelectrolyte membrane 41; and a pair of separators 51, 52 in which passage grooves 53-55 for circulating a fluid are formed and which interpose the membrane electrode assembly. The fuel cell stack structure further includes a clipping means 60 which is provided so as to envelope the whole outer circumference of a laminated body 31 formed by laminating at least one set of unit cell components so as to constitute a unit cell and clips the unit cell components without using an adhesive.
