<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas diffusion electrode superior in power generation performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas diffusion electrode including an electrode catalyst layer and a gas diffusion layer, the electrode catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer are constituted of a conductive fiber communicating the electrode catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer.
