<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to unequivocally recognize a recording material to be replenished, by displaying the color of the recording material in the whole or a part of a display screen to give a recording material deficiency warning of high visibility in the case of deficiency of the recording material for image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus provided with a residual quantity detection means for detecting that a recording material for image formation gets deficient and a display means for informing the user that the recording material gets deficient is provided with a display control means which displays the color itself of the recording material with which the deficiency is detected by the residual quantity detection means, on the whole or a part of the display means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
