<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sales registration method and unit in a POS system permitting free combination of commodities. <P>SOLUTION: The POS system for selling set commodities, registers in a memory of the POS system in advance the number of set commodities and the set commodities specifying a plurality of constituent commodities, and on sale of the registered set commodities makes sales registration of the set commodities by choosing the number of the constituent commodities from a plurality of the constituent commodities corresponding to the number of the set commodities and inputting into the POS system, thereby facilitating sales registration of the set commodities even if there are many constituent commodities.
