PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time for heating and press-bonding a strip material, and accordingly, to suppress a decline in the supply capacity of the strip material. SOLUTION: In this strip material connecting device 1, a connecting means 15 is provided with a heated roller 31 heated by a heating means 31A, and first-third opposed rollers 32-34 holding a strip material 2A in use and a new strip material between the heated roller and the opposed rollers. When the strip material in use and the new one are connected, the strip material 2A is brought into surface contact throughout a required range on the periphery of the heated roller by the first opposed roller 32 before being heated and press-bonded by the heated roller 31 and the second opposed roller 33.
