PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stain-preventing agent for an impregnation roll and a method for preventing an impregnation roll from being stained, wherein the stain of an impregnation roll in a process for producing impregnated paper, in particular the stain by a synthetic resin emulsion can be effectively prevented, and can improve the productivity without deteriorating the quality of the impregnated paper. SOLUTION: The method comprises spraying a stain-preventing agent for an impregnation roll, which is obtained by adding 0.01-0.5 pts.wt. of a polyvinylpyrolidone and/or a vinyl acetate-vinylpyrolidone copolymer to 100 pts.wt. of water, onto a surface of an impregnation roll in a process for producing impregnated paper.
