PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine in which the counting errors of game balls hit by a ball hitting means hardly occur. SOLUTION: When the game ball T hit from a hitting device 13c is detected by a first hit ball detection switch 25 at the time t<SB>0</SB>, detection signals are outputted as indicated in the figure (a) until it leaves the detection range at the time t<SB>4</SB>. When the game ball T is detected by a second hit ball detection switch 26 at the time t<SB>3</SB>, the detection signals are outputted as indicated in the figure (b) until it leaves the detection range at the time t<SB>7</SB>. From a signal composition circuit 24, composite signals are outputted as indicated in the figure (c) from the time t<SB>0</SB>to the time t<SB>7</SB>. A main CPU 31 reads the composite signals by an interruption processing at the time t<SB>1</SB>, t<SB>2</SB>, t<SB>5</SB>and t<SB>6</SB>, and when the composite signals are continuously on for 8 msec or longer, judges that the game ball T hit in the hitting device 13c advances to a game area 12A.
