Clamp for fastening a rail

The invented clamp (1) for fastening a rail is adapted in interaction with an anchor mechanism to holding down a rail (2) downward to a base on which it is put. The clamp (1) is formed by a bar of elastic material being bent in form of substantially the letter M in ground plan view, whereby the clamp (1) has a first section (11), being substantially straight, extending from one end of the bar to another, a second bent section (12) a third section (13), a bent fourth section (14), a fifth section (15) a bent sixth section (16) and a substantially straight seventh section (17), whereby the first and the seventh sections (12, 16) form corresponding external M-shaped arms, the third and the fifth sections (13, 15) form corresponding internal M-shaped arms, the second and the sixth sections (12, 16) attach the external arms to the internal arms and the fourth section (14) connects the internal arms with each other. In the invented clamp (1) released and without strain state the fourth part (14) longitudinal center line is located in a plane being inclined with respect to a plane containing longitudinal axes of the first and the seventh sections (11, 17). In loaded state, in which the clamp (1) clamps the rail to the base (2), the fourth section (14) longitudinal center line is located in a plane lying at a certain distance from a base plane containing longitudinal axes of the first and the seventh sections (11, 17) and is parallel with said base plane.
