FLASH LAMP

摘要

There is provided a flash lamp having a structure for realizing a higher light output stability. The flash lamp includes a sealed vessel and a cathode, an anode, and a trigger electrode which are arranged in the sealed vessel. The cathode and the anode are arranged so as to oppose to each other. The trigger electrode is arranged in such a manner that its tip end protrudes from a space between the cathode and the anode. The cathode and the anode are arranged in such a manner that the cathode tip end and the anode tip end oppose to each other. Each of the cathode and the anode has a discharge opposing plane. A cylindrical discharge space is defined by the cathode discharge opposing plane, the anode discharge opposing plane, and a plane consisting of a straight line generator connecting the outer circumferential lines of the discharge opposing planes of the cathode and the anode. The trigger electrode is arranged between the cathode and the anode in such a manner that its tip end portion is located outside the discharge space.
