An optical pickup feeding device having a sliding bearing (3e) holding a lubricating agent, a pickup base on which an optical pickup is mounted, and a lead screw (9) slidably fitted into the sliding bearing (3e), wherein at least either the sliding bearing (3e) or the lead screw (9) has a restriction section for restricting variation in viscous resistance of the lubricating agent. The area of contact between the sliding bearing (3e) and the lead screw (9) is reduced to restrict an increase of viscous resistance load torque coefficient of the lubricating agent at low temperatures.
