<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the required capacity of a memory such as a buffer memory temporarily storing a bit-map data to be made smaller as far as possible by adopting the procedure of a bit-map development processing according to each special feature for both cases of direct-printing processing and hold-printing processing operation. <P>SOLUTION: When a time-excess band data with which the bit-map development can not get ready for the printing-processing operation exists in the band data for one page (data which was obtained by plurally dividing the data for the printing-data page and converted into an intermediate language), at the time of the direct-printing operation, while executing the bit-map development of the remaining band data after having executed the prior development of the time-excess band data into a RAM 3, the data is transferred to a printer engine. At the time of the hold-printing operation, the prior development is not executed, and while developing the bit-map data of all band data into the minimum buffer area of the RAM3 (S303), the data is transferred to a hard disk device 5 (S304, S403) and held until a printing demand is issued. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
