<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent deformation of a metallic separator by securing the rigidity of the metallic separator in simple constitution and installing communication holes in the thin plate-like metallic separator. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell is constituted by alternately stacking an electrolyte membrane/electrode structure 12 and the separator 13. The separator 13 has first and second metal plates 14, 16 and a cooling medium passage 42 is formed between the first and second metal plates 14, 16. A folding back part 80 formed by bending the second metal plate 16 is installed in the circumferential part of a cooling medium inlet communication hole 22a, and an introduction passage 82 whose opening cross section is widened is installed in a passage communicating the cooling medium inlet communication hole 22a and the cooling medium passage 42 through the folding back part 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
