<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the speeding-up of AE and AF in an interchangeable lens unit incorporating an imaging element and an image processing circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The speeding-up of AE is realized by arranging a photometry element 21 at the edge part of the lens unit 10 or arranging a light guide which holds the photometry element 21 at its trailing end and incorporating an automatic diaphragm setting function in the lens unit 10.
