<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a seat belt retractor while tempering the status between an own vehicle and an object and/or the status of the own vehicle and to efficiently and more comfortably perform restriction protection of an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: CPU 42 sets a set value of belt tension corresponding to respective circumstances in every mode of a predetermined number set in response to the circumstance between the vehicle and the object at front and rear side of the vehicle, the circumstance between the vehicle and the object at left and right sides of the vehicle and the circumstance of the vehicle itself and selects the set value of the belt tension in a larger mode when a plurality of optional circumstances of the respective circumstances are combined and a plurality of modes corresponding to the plurality of circumstances set at the same timing are different. Then, the CPU 42 controls an electric motor 40 such that the belt tension of a seat belt 3 becomes the set value of the belt tension of the selected mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
