摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manuscript lighting system having high optical convergence quality, in a sub scanning cross-sectional plane, and a little loss caused by optical diffusion of a main scanning direction and a little illuminance unevenness of the main scanning direction, in the main scanning direction. SOLUTION: A beam of light emitted from an LED optical source 1 is reached to a light illuminated plane 3 through a long lens 2. The light source 1 is disposed at a focal position of the long lens 2, and the beam of light is made to be in parallel with respect to the light illuminated plane on the sub scanning cross-sectional plane. The beam of light to be emitted with a predetermined angleθf with respect to the sub scanning cross-sectional plane becomes a convergent light at a position apart a predetermined distance from the light illuminated plane on the sub scanning cross-sectional plane. Illumination distribution in the main scanning direction becomes approximately uniform although radiation energy becomes as small as the angle increases to an angleθf direction.
