PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-base fluorescent lamp which withstands distribution as a product, in which a fraction defective in manufacturing is not increased, in which variations of temperatures of a plurality of the coldest points candidates are small, and in which stable lamp characteristics are obtained. SOLUTION: In the single-base fluorescent lamp which has a discharge passage bent at least once or more, in which mercury vapor pressure inside a tube is not controlled by amalgam but regulated by the usual coldest point, and in which a corner part of the U-shaped flexure part becomes the coldest point, provided a glass wall thickness of the corner part of the bent part which becomes the coldest point is t, and a glass wall thickness of a non-bent part is t<SB>0</SB>, a relationship of 0.12 mm≤t≤t<SB>0</SB>/5 is satisfied.
