PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formaldehyde detection material capable of detecting formaldehyde by a simple method, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This formaldehyde detection material comprises a coprecipitate produced from an oxidizing agent and a nitrogen-including compound capable of forming an oxidation color developable condensate by a reaction with amphoteric metal ions, hydroxide ions and formaldehyde.
