PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device that is simple and compact, and a camera using the rotation transmission device by forming teeth in a driven gear with intervals, and setting the tooth form of a planetary gear and the driven gear in such a way that the planetary gear and the driven gear will not get in contact with each other when a planetary lever is oscillated in such a direction that the planetary gear separates from the driven gear. SOLUTION: In this rotation transmission device 100, the planetary gear 120 engaged with the driven gear 114 is engaged with the driven gear 116 by oscillation of the planetary lever 118, so that rotation of a drive shaft 110 is transmitted to a driven shaft 112. The teeth 114A are formed in the driven gear 114 with intervals. The tooth form of the planetary gear 120 and the driven gear 116 is set in such a way that the planetary gear 120 and the driven gear 116 will not get in contact with each other when the planetary lever 118 is oscillated in the direction to separate the planetary gear 120 from the driven gear 116.
