<p>An embossing apparatus, similar to those used in the paper industry, for use in the leather industry to emboss leather and leather type textiles. The apparatus includes a rotating felt under tension. In a preferred embodiment, the felt wraps around a heated embossing cylinder under tension and there is no nip. In this case, the leather textile is conveyed while sandwiched between the felt and the cylinder and is thereby embossed.</p> |
