The present invention relates to a sterilizing/cleaning method and sterilizing/cleaning water supply apparatus suitable for using in restaurant, hospital, etc., belonging to public health problem. This sterilizing/cleaning method is characterized in that concentrated solution of mild acidic sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution with hydrochloric acidity of not less than pH 5 and not more than 7 (available chlorine concentration of 3,000+-1,000 ppm) is diluted 30-100 times with tap water or the like at a faucet to be adjusted into mild acidity of pH 5 or more, preferably within a range from 5.2 to less than 7 or preferably 6.5 or less and the available chlorine concentration of 30-100 ppm, and used as the wash water or sterile water as it is. This method can thus facilitate its use in a restaurant, hospital and at home. |
