<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for producing a lithium-cobalt oxide excellent in a powdery property as a positive pole active material, particularly excellent in a filling property because of high bulk density and capable of keeping sufficient contact with an electrolyte without using a complexing agent. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the lithium-cobalt oxide comprises a step (A) to prepare a cobalt hydroxide from a cobalt salt aqueous solution, a step (B) to prepare a cobalt oxide by baking the cobalt hydroxide and a step (C) to prepare the lithium-cobalt oxide after mixing the cobalt oxide with a lithium compound. In the step (A), the required amount of an oxidizing agent to oxidize a divalent cobalt ion existing in the cobalt salt aqueous solution to a trivalent ion and the required amount of a neutralizing agent to adjust a pH value to be 10-11 are added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
