PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic equipment for making it possible for an application to delete itself (self-deletion). SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment is capable of loading an application inputted from outside to a nonvolatile memory and executing the loaded application. At the time of application operation, it is decided whether or not the application is deleted according to the application situations, processing contents, and the like. When it is decided that it should be deleted, a deletion flag is set and, after the application processing is completed, the deletion flag is confirmed. When it is set, the application is deleted.
