摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and an optical device for a liquid crystal display having high luminance. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device 11 and the display device 10 include a light source 13, a light guide plate 12 to lead light L of the light source 13 entered from an end face to the display part side, and a reflector 12a to reflect the light L entering into the light guide plate 12. They have a fluorescent color developing means having spectral absorption characteristics, a peak of emission intensity between 610-780 nm, and has tendency color development characteristics in which the value of emission intensity at 610 nm is not more than 10 % of the value of the peak intensity. In this spectral absorption characteristics, the integral value of a spectral absorption curve in a region surrounded by two wavelengths derived from each transmittance curve showing 10 % of the transmittance value at the wavelength at which the spectral transmittance curve of a G filter and the spectral transmittance curve of a R filter cross is &ge; 60 % of the integral value of a spectral absorption curve in 550-780 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
