PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method which reliably controls the so-called call-waiting telephone that a communication terminal capable of calling with another cell phone with a cell phone connected thereto switches over called addresses timely, upon receipt of a terminating call from a third person's cell phone during call with the other cell phone. SOLUTION: The call-waiting telephone calling states are classified into a first state defined by one telephone being busy and another being receive interrupt originating, a second state defined by one being busy and another being waiting, and a third state defined by one having completed a call and another being still waiting. On the on-hook or off-hook button operation of the communication terminal or the cell phone connected to the communication terminal, the terminal is controlled to change into any of the three states.
