PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear solenoid valve in which a magnetic gap can be formed highly accurately by eliminating the need of coating of a thin nonmagnetic film and, at the same time, the coaxiality can be secured between a yoke and a fixed core. SOLUTION: The linear solenoid valve is provided with a solenoid 12 having a movable core 26 which is attracted to the fixed core 24 when a coil 32 is energized, and a valve mechanism 16 having a spool valve 66. On the external surface of the movable core 26, a nonmagnetic layer 65 having a prescribed thickness is formed. At the end of the yoke 22, in addition, an annular thin section 27 which secures the coaxiality between the yoke 22 and the fixed core 24 is integrally formed by slightly press-fitting the thin section 27 into the recess 36 of the fixed core 24.
