PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical component case capable of comprising a plurality of optical devices and a projector provided with said optical component case. SOLUTION: In an optical component case housed a plurality of optical components for illuminating an optical modulation device which forms an optical image by modulating light flux emitted from a light source in accordance with image information and disposed the optical components on a predetermined illumination optical axis respectively, the plurality of the optical components is provided with a first lens array for dividing the light flux emitted from the light source into a plurality of partial light flux and a second lens array which comprises a plurality of lens elements corresponding to the first lens array and superimposes each of the partial light flux on an image formation area of the optical modulation device. Grooves 621 and 622 to which any one of the first and second lens arrays is inserted, for positioning the lens array are formed while changing intervals to the other lens array, and the different kinds of lens arrays are inserted into the grooves.
