PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide air lock prevention structure for a pump, for surely functioning without air vent hole causing degradation in pump performance and air vent valve causing increase in manufacturing cost and without influence of dirt or the like in sewage water . SOLUTION: An impeller 3 installed to a deriving part of a motor shaft 4 is housed in a pump casing 1, and a discharge port 2 is formed in one side part of a side wall of a pump casing 1. A projecting body 6 is disposed to project from the center part of an inner face of a suction cover 5 toward the center part of the impeller 3.
