PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitriding steel sheet which is used mainly for automobile components, has excellent press moldability such as stretch properties and hole enlargement properties and can realize a surface nitriding layer with a sufficient thickness having excellent wear resistance by a nitridation. SOLUTION: The steel sheet for nitriding treatment having excellent wear resistance and press workability contains, by mass, 0.001 to 0.005% C, 0.01 to 0.5% Si, 0.1 to 1.0% Mn, 0.5 to 1.5% Cr,≤0.05% P,≤0.03% S and≤0.005% N, further contains≥0.001% sol.Al and≥0.001% Ti, wherein the total of sol.Al+Ti+V+Nb is≤0.06%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
