PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wind a metal wire body around a reel for the metal wire body having flanges made of steel sheets provided with hollow ring-shaped periphery reinforcement parts fully to the peripheries of the flanges. SOLUTION: The flange 2 is made to be a multiple structure with a first flange member 4 outside in the axial direction and a second flange member 5 inside in the axial direction overlapped at their peripheral parts. Folding back the peripheral part of the first flange member 4 so as to curl it to the outside in the axial direction, folding back the peripheral part of the second flange member 5 nearly at a right angle on the curled first flange member 4 to the outside in the axial direction, and curling and folding back the peripheral part of the second flange member 5 to the inside in the radial direction so as to wind the peripheral part of the first flange member 4 form the hollow ring-shaped flange periphery reinforcement part 8.
