PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of advantageously preventing generation of abnormal sound without impairing smooth transmission of auxiliary steering force to a steering mechanism. SOLUTION: An elastic coupling 48 provided with first and second insertion holes 52, cover parts 56 for covering each of opening parts on mutually opposite sides of each of the insertion holes 52 and a seal part 60 part for surrounding the opening part on the opposite side of the covering side by the cover part 56 of each of the insertion holes 52 is interposed between end parts each other of a rotary shaft 12 and a transmission shaft 34. A mounting projection 30 is provided at each end part of the rotary shaft 12 and a transmission shaft 16. Each of the mounting projections 30 is inserted into each of the insertion holes 52 of the elastic coupling 48. The rotary shaft 12 and the transmission shaft 34 are elastically connected by bringing the seal part 60 into contact with each end part of the rotary shaft 12 and the transmission shaft 34.
