A container (1) is enclosed by at least one carrier ring (2) with adjustable diameter. The container base stands on at least one support (3) fastened to the ring. At least one of the carrier rings can be adjusted to set diameters, between 0cm and 100cm, and the ring shape is formed by a fastener, e.g. a hook-and-loop fastener. A length-adjustable strap is fastened to one of the rings. The carrier also has a closure for an open container.
