A card connector (1), comprising a housing (3) forming a card storage space (5) for inserting a card (2) from an opening (6) and having input/output terminals according to the electrode part of the card (2), a slider (9) movable along the insertion/extraction direction of the card (2) and switchable between a first position and a second position apart from the opening (6) more than the first position by a heart cam mechanism (10), a coiled spring (13) energizing the slider (9) in the discharging direction of the card (2), and a contact part (23) formed integrally with the slider (9) and allowed to come into contact with the insert direction end part of the card (2). The coiled spring (13) is fitted to a shaft (12) installed movably relative to the slider (9).
