PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily assemble component units into a camera main body without using screws or projecting parts for mounting and to make the camera main body small and thin. SOLUTION: This camera main body is provided internally with first to fourth positioning members 17 to 20 for positioning various component units 13 to 16, the positioning members 17 to 20 are formed in a thin plate shape and arranged planarly side by side in the camera main body, and in this state, the various component units 13 to 20 are assembled into the camera main body through each of the positioning members 17 to 20. Then, even though the camera main body is made of metal, the component units 13 to 16 can simply and easily be assembled by the positioning members 17 to 20 without using the screws or the mounting projecting parts for mounting. Installation space for the positioning members 17 to 20 in the camera main body is suppressed to a degree that the space is hardly needed, and the camera main body is formed in a thin shape by metal strips, thereby making the entire camera small and thin.
