<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small vibrator/generator of simple structure capable of realizing a plurality of functions by a single unit, and to provide a mobile phone employing it. <P>SOLUTION: The vibrator/generator 10 comprises a substantially straight super-magnetostriction rod 14 provided with a super-magnetostriction member 30 and having one end secured to a ferrite 12, a coil 16 arranged around the super-magnetostriction rod 14, a drive section 18 for vibrating the super-magnetostriction rod 14 in the axial direction by supplying a drive signal to the coil 16, and a section 20 for storing power induced in the coil 16 based on deformation of the super-magnetostriction rod 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
