<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the efficient cooling effect of a driving motor, while reducing the size of a device body. <P>SOLUTION: This sheet carrying device has guide plates 7 and 11 arranged in a casing 16 and constituting a carrying passage, a driving roller 18d and a driven roller 19d for sandwiching and carrying a sheet, and the driving motor 17a for driving the driving roller 18d and the driven roller 19d; and receives and carries a sheet material fed from an air paper feeder 1.
