<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and a gloss imparting device using transparent toner for electrophotography, which has high glossiness uniformly over an entire surface of an image as in the case of silver salt photography, which is excellent in heat resistance and in mechanical strength and further which easily satisfies a low temperature fixing performance with a fixing device with low energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a color image forming step and a gloss imparting step to transfer and fix the transparent toner for electrophotography to the color toner image surface or to its vicinity, wherein the transparent toner for electrophotography contains a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin, relations shown with an inequality (1), (2.80×10<SP>4</SP>/Mn)<AV<(2.25×10<SP>5</SP>/Mn) are satisfied when number average molecular weights of the respective resins are represented by Mn and resin acid values are represented by AV, and further a temperature Tα at which melting viscosity of the transparent toner for electrophotography is 1×10<SP>3</SP>Pa s lies in 70-110°C range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
