<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that effectively reduces influence of gradation unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: An active matrix type display device 10 of a dot-sequential drive system has a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix and a selection control circuit 309 selecting a horizontal pixel line to which a luminance signal is to be inputted among a plurality of pixels. A data control circuit 32 sequentially input the luminance signal for each pixel included in the selected horizontal pixel line. The data control circuit 32 after inputting the luminance signal of one frame to each of the pixels so that the luminance signal of the one frame is inputted to each of the pixels a plurality of times inverts a scanning direction and inputs the luminance signal of the same frame to each of the pixels.
