<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye containing negative type curable composition suited for use of a dye and excellent in a rectangular pattern shape forming property, and a color filter using the same and a method of manufacturing the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The dye containing negative type curable composition contains an alkali soluble binder (A), an organic solvent soluble dye (B), a photopolymerizable compound (C), a photopolymerization initiator (D), an organic solvent (E), and at least a kind of polymer surface active agent containing phosphoric acid, carboxylic acid, and their ester or salt (F).
